THERE IS NO WAY TO EXPRESS THE GRATITUDE AND THE EXCITEMENTTHAT WE FEEL TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SHARE IN THIS INCREDIBLE EVENT AND TO HAND THIS CHECK OVER TO AMNESTY. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF SECOND PRIDE FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!

I was so proud and honored to be asked to give
remarks at the opening ceremony on Saturday. The SIM was packed and the atmosphere divine! Thank you so much to Zack, Danniel, Jace, Lemondo, Stryker, Leland and all of the Second Pride group for making me feel so welcomed and for giving me the proud honor of lighting the Eternal Flame. I swear that I could feel my Uncle's heart beat inside of my own. Both of us were filled with pride for having been asked to participate to such an extraordinary degree.
MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE EVENTS!!

The Second Pride Festival is a festival of the GLBT
(Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transexual) Community. The concept and idea is similar to the well known Gay Prides around the world. But this event does not concern people joining together anywhere in the real world, but in the virtual world of
Second Life®, created by
Linden Lab™.
For the duration of the event, anybody with a Second Life account can connect to the Festival's location and join the celebration. Various activities are available on site, such as visiting of the many vendor stands available to promote businesses or charities, GLBT locations and causes, discussions, debates, parties, amusement rides, and more...
To make the festival happen we set donation kiosks around Second Life. We use what we need to rent the sims and do the festival and we give all extra donations to a charity organisation chosen by us.
SP09 is working with AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL this year and their movement called Outfront. To support freedom of expression of the LGBT people and community around the globe. More info on :
